Proud to be an American? Fiiiiiiiiinally.
This victory is monumental - it is going to change the way other countries see America, and create new ground for much needed change within our country. As a future Peace Corps volunteer, it is important to be able to stand by your government, and now I can. Now I will enter the Peace Corps with confidence in what I will be doing. Finally, I am more than just a U.S. citizen. I am proud to be American. Happy New President!

Hey Rebecca! You don't know me.. but I found your blog through the PC wiki site. I'll be leaving for C.R. in March as well. I figured it'd be a good idea to try to find as many people as I could who I might possibly be working with. =)

This might be a strange post...but here goes!
I will be vacationing in Costa Rica with my family (4 kids - ranging in age from 3 years to 13 years, plus husband) for 10 days over Thanksgiving of 2009. The children have collected bags and bags of kids' sized clothing that they want to bring along and donate to an orphanage. We will be spending a few days in San Jose, and then some days on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. I just wondered if you will be/are stationed anywhere near either of those and will be "in the know" on how/who we can donate (to)?
You're just getting settled, I know, but if you come upon any helpful guidance in the intervening months, I would be very grateful.
